Cheerleading Squad
The Brighten Academy Cheer Team is more than a squad—we are a sisterhood built on spirit, confidence, and pride. Our cheerleaders develop leadership, discipline, and teamwork while promoting positive school spirit in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Each practice strengthens self-belief and resilience. Each performance builds unity, friendships, and a strong sense of belonging. Together, our cheerleaders uplift one another, energize our school community, and represent Brighten with excellence both on and off the sidelines.

Try-Out Requirements

Parents MUST complete a student Medical Release form

Participants are REQUIRED to attend all three days

Dress Code: T-shirt, cheer shorts, and tennis shoes

Students MUST be in good academic and financial standing
Practice Schedule
Practices: Students are NOT to arrive more than 10 minutes before their scheduled practices.
Student Pick-Up: Ensure that the current school year's Pick-Up Card is present for every single dismissal. Student's will not be released without it. Parents are to park and walk up to the dismissal door. Students CANNOT walk through the parking lot alone at anytime.
*** Late pick-up of students may/will incur Late Pick-Up Fees.***
Game Schedule
If you are checking-out your athlete before normal dismissal, please be aware the Front Office cut off for early check-out is 2:45pm (Wed 11:30). Exceptions cannot be made.
Make sure your athlete is aware of your pick-up arrangements PRIOR to arriving school on that game day. Students are not allowed to call home. If special arrangements have been made for that day, parents are required to let the Front Office know in writing for the safety of the student. You can do this by emailing: transportation@brightenacademy.com
